Taekwondo - 80k Men Aaron Cook

Aaron Cook started his first fight today, 3 rounds of 2 minutes with a 5-0 lead after round one. (If you get a 7 point lead the match is stopped) Into round two and half way through that he got the 7-0 and that was Aaron into the next round.
Just after 9 on BBC1 for the next round.

An equally impressive display in the 1/4 final saw Aaron win that and so he goes forward to the semi final, he beat Carlos Vasquez Carvajal of Venezuela 6-2.

A 6' 5" tall Italian was up next in the SEMI and at end of the 1st round Aaron is 1-2down. At the end of the 2nd round it was 3-3 the equalising point RIGHT on the bell.
An amazing last round, with it 5-5 with seconds to go, he got caught and it was 5-6.
So unlucky I thought he got the winning kick. Still in with a chance of a bronze, he has to come back fighting!

Another very brave effort in the bronze play off match, against a chinese lad, he was up against it, but did VERY well indeed, dont argue with Aaron on a Saturday night up there in Manchester whatever you do! He lost but he will be back, only
17, another hot prospect for 2012.
